To me education is the key to success in your chosen career. It's also the key to success in life in general. I believe that the more knowledge you have the more of a well-rounded individual you are. By knowing basics such as history, science, and math we just wouldn't understand a lot of information we hear about on the news or read in the newspapers. Also, with a good education we can try to provide the same for our children in order to get them on the right track of life.

Nowadays, poverty is not a barrier for furthering your education. There are government programs and financial aid to help those who cannot do it on their own. I know, because I was one of them. Throughout high school while my friends were deciding on which college to go to, my biggest concern was if I would even be able to get into a college, because my parents couldn't afford for me to go and I didn't make enough money with my part-time job at a grocery store to support myself and my education. There are programs out there to help for those who really want it. The only thing is you have to try and find them, and work hard. Try FAFSA, it helped me out a lot. Plus, I know there are many other ones out there also.

Education is not only for skills and mind improvement. It also enhance your sociability and increasing self-esteem. Gaining education raises you from poverty, which is poverty of knowing nothing. It pours your mind with valuable things, direct your goals in life through aiming high for yourself. It gives you more ideas and capabilities on how to earn the knowledge you want to have.
