What are you doing tonight?

My husband, whose company contracts to Customs/Homeland Security had to work for four hours tonight. Usually, if he works weekends its because someone else took the night off (he works nights). Usually its slow on weekends and he has nothing to do but play his portable PS2, watch tv there or talk to me. Tonight though, they're finishing up getting ready for an inspection by the President, who owns a piece of his company and the head of Homeland Security.
I'm sure we'll still talk often though - if I wake up!
Normally, he works on the planes, doing pre and post flight checks and other work. Tonight, although I'm sure they'll be doing normal maintainence, and then some. I'm sure he'll be a bit greasy! They have to go the whole nine yards. And they're all going to have to the maintenence person's job - who takes care of the hanger and such as this person was fired. And he did a lot of work around the house today too. He insists on doing the vacuuming until we get our vaccuum from MI or we get a new one - he says vacuuming with our is too hard! And he cleaned up our wash room too. Finishing up the laundry I left there yesterday when I got my migraine. So he'll be tired!
We likely wouldn't have done anything - he may have made some fried rice or something, but its nice to have him here. This is a perfect night though as I had a migraine yesterday so today I'm absolutely exhausted. My baby is asleep on my lap and I think its an excellent idea. I think I'll put him down a little earlier and go to sleep myself.
Not a very exciting Saturday Night I know...the nice thing is, I have Sunday evening with my husband as he works nights so doesn't return to work until Monday night - so Sat and Sun are our usual nights together.
The nice thing will be seeing his time and a half on his check when it comes in. It will only show four hours - he'll be back by nine - I'll likely be long asleep by then though!
So after that long-winded explanation of my Saturday night - what will you be doing? What do you wish you were doing?

Tonight my boyfriend will be watching the Colts game while I'm half glancing at the game and on the computer. after that we will probably watch a movie or play a board game.

Sounds like what we would normally be doing, each at our computer, watching something on tv - not sports though. And maybe play one of the board games I bought a few months ago from Ebay.

I am watching TV with my husband. I spent all day at the Wild Animal Park in San Diego. So I am tired and he usually sleeps all day anyway. I wish we spent more "quality" time together talking and such but right now since he is busy with grad school I will take TV watching time when I can get it.

My husband sleeps all day too! He works nights - by the time he's awake, I've been up all day with the baby and I'm sooooooooo exhausted already - if he woke up mornings we could spend more quality time together on weekends.
Wild Animal Park - that sounds like fun...?!
Watching tv is still an activity you're doing together. He's investing in your future - I can understand wanting more quality time though. :)

Planning to take a good night sleep. In about a few hours that is once I finish whatever I have to do for the day, a good and long sleep is just what I am waiting for. And long overdue too after some stressful periods finishing assignments and homework.

Sounds good, BTW, looks like the President got more than just a lunch with a mayor and an inspection at the hanger - on his way from the airport - one of his police escorts was killed in an automobile accident.

after dinner, i take a walk with my boyfriend, then we go back to see a movie with sitting on my favorite carpet. frankly, i feel very happy, because he is tired after work, so he doesn't want to take a walk with me, but we dont take a walk for a long time, we take a walk everyday a few months ago, because he hasn't to work hard.
now we decide to marry this year,so he has to work hard to earn more money for our new house. i hope i can give him a help, but now i earn too little onine. i believe everything will be better.

What a great attitude. Am I write in interpreting that you don't like your walks - that you are happy that he is too tired to walk? I'm sure you are emotionally supportive of him, and that can mean the world!
Have a wonderful day, Wonderful!

It's good to know that in spite of his tiring job, your husband still finds time to care for you and your baby, cleaning the washroom, helping out with the laundry, cooking fried rice! Wow! I actually pray that if ever God has in it in His plan for me to get married, He'll be sending me someone who knows how to do the laundry and cook! =)
As I've never been married, my life basically revolves around my family. I am currently jobless so most of the time, when I'm not in church, I'm just home.
Last Saturday, I was supposed to wake up early to participate in our church's songleading/dance workshop for Sunday School teachers. Unfortunately, I got hooked up with the PC last Friday night, looking for music on the web, that I lost track of time and only 'remembered' that I haven't slept yet when I noticed the sun peering through my window!
So my Saturday was rather uneventful, except for the fact that I made a sort of interactive review game for the Kinder-level kids I'm 'serving' in Sunday School. It's Sunday (oops, it's already Monday?!) as I'm writing this and our church celebrated it's 23rd anniversary. The kids had potluck so they enjoyed lots of goodies and games with their classmates. I wasn't able to facilitate the review game I prepared though because there wasn't much time left. Well, I have faith that if God wills it, I'd be playing that review game with them some other given Sunday. I was also blessed by the fact that the person I confided with just a few Sundays ago gave an inspiring testimony about how God worked in her life -- and in her marriage. It just made me see that truly, God is in the business of transforming people's lives and I was further encouraged to keep on knowing God more and being available to serve His purpose. =)

I really liked your response. I love that you made that game for your your kids at church, I need a game like that, I know about as much as they do about organized religion. Thank goodness I believe god exists in nature and in our hearts as I'm not much for joining a church way too many people!
My husband sometimes has tiring days, sometimes its slow and he's allowed to just play his miny PS@ for hours. Either way, it is nice that he helps out, specially when I'm nursing or the baby has fallen asleep - or if I get a migraine and come down to see he's cooked or something.
Your life revolving around family sounds like a strong and solid one. You have the rocks of both a spiritual and community life. This is a good thing.

My boyfriend likes playing games on line, and he will go shopping with me on sunday. If I feel really unhappy, he will give up his plan and be with me, and so am I.
