my gmail account is getting too many spamming e-mails..!!

hi there,i have one account on gmail and i use it for every pay to click or any new site i surf..but i don't know what is the reason i am getting like 82 or more spam messages in 6-7 hours and i am afraid that my account may not get blocked when i am away from my home for some reason and if i don't check my mail account to delete spam..Google says that these get deleted automatically after 30 days but i get so many in a day and i feel scared to think about waiting for the 30 days..!!i can not stop using this account as this is my account for paypal also.can somebody help me by suggesting some thing for this spam..thank you very much..

I think is happens in almost all email accounts, be it yahoo or hotmail. The culprits are found everywhere. All we have to do is to not to open and just delete the announcement in the beginning it self.

thank you for replying ssh123,i do delete them but they keep on appearing..i am only afraid that if i don't check my mail for some time it may not get blocked due to this spam..

Early morning at 6 a.m. I check the mail everyday. I delete the undesirable ones immediately before opening mylot emails. Have a nice day.

I recently with useing yahoo, set mine to delete spam as it comes in rather than save it in the bulk folder. I was getting to the point I had to dump that dang folder everyday or it would fill up. That is one thing you can try to do. Don't know if Gmail has this options though.

thanks for your help sunshinecup,Gmail does not provide these options..you are right even my yahoo account is spam free due to those options..
