My friend sold some tickets to an event on ebay. The auction was paid for on a Friday and she overnighted the tickets out on Monday but on Monday the buyer wrote her saying she didn't receive them and she was filing a complaint. The tracking revealed that Tuesday the tickets were in fact received. She filed a bogus complaint anyway and paypal redacted the money from my friend's account. I've had a dispute filed against me before and paypal sent me an email and allowed me to respond. My friend never got that email and her account has been deducted. Needless to say, I knew the winner was a scam and I advanced search her username for items sold - and low and behold the exact same event tickets were sold by her 1 day later!! I printed it out for my friend and told her to contact paypal at once and show them this proof, along with the tracking number that it was indeed received!! Ain't that a scam!!!

That's why I use paypal shipping for everything that I ship from ebay that was paid for via paypal (and some that aren't). That way, paypal already has on file the tracking information (tracking isn't an option -- it's automatic, free w/ priority and only 18 cents with everything else).
I've had a dispute filed against me with paypal before as well, and I was given the opportunity to respond with tracking information. I lost the dispute because the person didn't select tracking and I wasn't using paypal shipping at the time. Since I started using it, I haven't had a dispute filed against me.

You're right - if she would have shipped through paypal - paypal would've had the tracking right on file. Good information to keep in mind for next time. Thanks..

I have been buying, and selling on ebay along time and have not ever had a problem. for the most part every one has treaded me good. But I do however see how some one could get cheeted.
So the frist thing I would do is contact the buy or seller and ask what the dael was and if they was going to make it right. If they do not contact paypal, and ebay about the problem. If all that does not work lieve vary bad feed back so otheres do not get took like she or he did.
for the most part ebay is a great place to buy and sell online. But like every thing else there are always them that try to rob people in some way. I try to make a point to buy from people with a perfact feed back rate.

Yes, from what it sounds your friend just got scammed big time. There is a phone number for Pay Pal and I would call that if I was your friend. That way they can talk to a real person and knopw exactly what to do. If you have enough proof she might get her money put back into her account. Good luck.

If your friend respinds to the complaint nad puts in the tracking she get the money back they put the money in limbo (till the complint is resolved, something simular happened to me. If she calls them they explain all that to her, and note in the complaint too.

i always get confirmationa and insurance. your right about paypal, they are strictly for the buyer. and refund the money immediately to their account if they are not happy about something. i had a problem once, but i had my receipts and then they gave it back to me. always have to be prepared for the scamming people out there. most of the time they are good normal people just wanting to purchase. I also look at their feedback before i let the bid go.
