i save my contact both in my SIM card and phone memory. Saving in sim card so that you do not lose any contacts, except for when you lost your SIM. :) But I also save in phone memory, it allows you to save more information ex: birthday, email address, image,... for this contact.

I save my contact just in my phone memory. If I save them both in my SIM card and my phone memory, I will have two same contacts. Also, in the phone memory, I can save more information as you have said. But when I want to change my cellphone, I will move my contact to the SIM card. To move my contacts to my new phone. It's convenient!

You can set up your phone to use ONLY phone memory. Doing that you don't have same contact, check it out.

I prefer to save the contacts in my cell phone set. I can remove or change the sim at any time. But the contacts numbers saved on telephone set remain save on the set. Suppose that I want to use another sim in place of my old sim. I will remove it and I will insert a new sim in my phone only which will not need to enter the contacts again. Sim is removable, contacts should not be removable. So this strategy does not make me the victim of hardship.

My phone is having shared memory so I don't care storing in the sim or phone memory or in the memory stick. When I change the sim card the already stored contacts will automatically enter into the new sim from my phone memory so its not a problem. The problem arise when you change the phone. The sim can store only a limited number of contacts since the memory is low. When I change the phone I have to transfer all my details to the memory stick from the phone memory and then transfer it to my new phone.Or if the memory stick of the old phone does not fit the new one then it is to be transferred to the laptop and then to the new phone. This is how I deal with the situation

hello willypicky,
i too do the same thing.infact my default memory is phone memory.everything gets saved there.then afterwards i save only the important ones in my SIM card as a backup as its memory is very less.otherwise all others are saved to my phone memory.infact i keep all my numbers written in my phonebook.that helps me to be assure even if i lost my cell or SIM card.
and its true that we can save more information as birthday, email addresses, give images to contacts etc,etc..in phone memory.thats a good option.

I save my contacts everything on sim and only important numbers on my phone memory. I save contacts on my phone memory like what you've said to add additional information like birthday, email, image and to assign ringtones.

Before, i usually saved my contacts to my phone memory.. But i do suffer doing this because i always reformatting my unit, due to some reasons.
So now, i do save them on both...
One time, i'll buy a new celphone, so that i will not always reformatting my phone... ^_^

I sav my contacts both in SIM and cell. Because it gives me advantages of same contact on another cell. While saving contacts in cell give you comfirt to create a group of your friends so that if u send a message to a group will be received by all your friends.

Both.I had this dilemma once, when my phone broke down and had to reformat,I lost all my contacts along with the landlines, email addresses, etc. At least when you have their contact on your sim, you have a chance of retrieval.

I save my contacts in my phone memory then use back-up, just a precautionary measure if in case something unexpected happen to my mobile phone. =)
