hi lily,how u managed to write so many articles! that's huge.I am at 21 only, but my earnings are ok( $7.60).I have found out that -It's better to start a new topic ( they call it initiating a new title.) -write on topics which have less number of articles, that way you will be in top 5 and chances of your article being read are good. -Before starting a topic in a channel,see the most popular list, if it has 10 or so number of articles,contribute in it. hope it is helpful to u and as wondericequeen said, don't forget to promote ur articles on social bookmarking sites -take part in contests.I started last week ( was no.one for a day now at 8.)Even if u don't win,u have a good repertoire of articles ready at the end of the week.

Congratulations! If you want to crank up the earnings at Helium, you need to promote your articles in other channels too! Can't just rely on people go in and read (there are just too many articles there). You can promote your articles in other ways like on your blog, or yahoo answers. 44 articles is really something. I just have 8 there and I never have time to sit down and be calm enough to write.

Hello LilyoftheThorns!:-) It's really good to know that you have a job now and it seems that you are enjoying it. I am also pleased to know that you have made 'great' firtunes on Helium, especially considering the rate of income there, yours' is really impressive. I know that you have a great potential of writing and will go on your way to excellence. I have only earned some 88 cents there. I have 6 articles posted but haven't added a single in a couple of months. I think the suggestion that previous poster gave is worth trying and applying. Moreover, try to be as professional as possible so that your article is rated in top 5, which have the best earning potential. I know that most of my earning has come from a single article which stayed on top 3 (mostly 1st, now 2nd) positions since it's start. Off course, the greater the number of articles, the greater will be the potential to earn. 4 out of my 6 articles do not earn me as such but still they have earned some 2, 3 cents each. So it's an intelligent guess that more articles will earn you more. I wish you best of luck in life, job and writing:-)

I was the first to post a response to your discussion. But suddenly some problem happened to internet connnection and the response went in air. Good to hear that earnings has gone up. The same for me too. Congrats for the new job! The tip is to post your articles in your blog and other networking sites to promote the articles.

I am at about 23 articles. I've made $25.17, because I joined helium back when it started, wrote 18 articles, and then forgot about them until two weeks ago. When I checked, they hadn't deleted or inactivated my account, and I had over 24 dollars. So I am trying to write more articles.

Do you ever suffer from insomnia? If you do, don't try to lie there for hours waiting to go back to sleep. Get up and go on Helium! A better alternative to TV, and I bet you get sleep again faster. But truthfully, I hope you don't have insomnia. It's not pleasant. : )

I just became a member of helium so I am brand new to this site. Congrats on your earnings! I know the feeling: you write and write and don't get any money - it is disappointing but keep on working and you'll do just fine. I really like the site - it is professional and what I have noticed is the more professional and quality works you write the better your chances for getting up in the top 5. sunny waters

you guys obviously love to write articles and make money for it. Then you really need to start submitting your articles to associated content. Ive written only 3 articles and have gotten paid $15 for them so far. You can also get more money on those same articles for people reading them. Any questions then just email me. I started my helium account two days ago and im at 22cents. It hardly seems worth it. ive made 17 articles. To receive payment you need $25. Hardly seems worth it to me :P But its fun so i'll carry on

I could never sit down and just write. I'm not to good of a writer, so I would earn basically nothing for doing it. Unless I was writing a school paper, I could write it, then submit it to them, since I had to anyways.

hi Helium does try your patience before you actually start earning real good on the site. I have already written 44 articles but not reached the 5 dollar mark yet. Hopefully my earnings will catch up soon, as they say its for the love of writing that we should write.

Congratulation to you.I have been posted on Leium also and have there like 20cents.So I think you did pretty good job. I think the best tip how to keep your earnings is just post and post.
