Need new basketball shoes. Nike or Adidas?

My old basketball shoes is worned out and I need a new one. What do you like and suggest, Nike or Adidas? What do you think in terms of support and cushion?
I've purchased both brands in the past. Was very disappointed with the lifespan of my Adidas. It didn't last over 1 year. The leather just tore. To think it fit really well on me.
I was a Nike user before the Adidas purchase. I find Nike too overpriced for the amount of technology I'm getting. I think most of what I'm paying for when purchasing a pair of Nikes is the advertising.

I both have brands and yes adidas doesnt last long but its affordable. Nike cost alot but its stylish and durable. If your gonna use it for sports specially basketball i suggest go for nike because it is made for that. Unlike adidas is more of fashion trends.
