I too cannot sleep without music playing. I usually play music from my Cds or the radio.

I used to be like that. When I was younger, I always had to have a radio playing.

It's easier for me to sleep without music playing. Sometimes I try to sleep with the radio playing, but I always end up getting up to turn it off. When I'm falling asleep, the music turns to a weird fuzzy noise to my ears, which is slightly irritating. It happens even when I'm listening to songs I like.

Well, I don't have to sleep with music, but I do have to have some sort of noise. So if it isn't music in headphones, I'll turn the TV on really low for the background noise. I fall asleep much faster.

My roomie has to have her talking book going while she's going to sleep.
I can't sleep with anything with a pattern going on, music, words, etc. I want to follow the pattern. I like a cd that has just waves breaking on a beach - but the cats keep sitting on top of my cd player & turning it off.
