Do you grow your nails long?

hello claire03, i was just about to start this discussion,but oops!!! u did it.nevermind.well i would like to answer this discussion.i like to keep my nails long but only hand nails.no toe nails because i think it will hurt if it gets stuck somewhere.and you never know how it will happen. i feel comfortable in keeping hand nails long and it just makes my hands more beautiful as my fingers are quite long.i do go for manicure and pedicure sessions.and i like maintaining myself.if we can maintain our face and hair,then why not give the same attention to other parts of our body that will make us look even more presentable? isn't it? my bf has the habit of biting nails and i just hate this.but luckily i have succeeded in getting rid of that habit of him.

No ...never . I cut short my nails quite often . Though I do not resort to manicuring , I make sure that my nails are kept trim and tidy. It is a healthy habit to be followed by all of us .

I keep my nails trimmed short. As a nurse, it is really risky to have long nails. It is risky for both the nurse and the patient. I can easily scrape or hurt a patient with long nails when I slide my hands under them to turn them. It is risky for me because bacteria can get under the nails and grow there. So, they are short! I teach nursing and what we tell our students is that if one view's their hand from the palm side and can see their nails above the fingertips, then the nails are too long!

I use to bite my nails till they were nothing...But the last 6 months I have learned not to bite my nails and it has been hard to do..But I have been growing them out and now they are kinda long but not to long...I'm always painting them cause I never could before...

I always like short nails for me because having long nails is kinda hard to maintain. But right now my boyfriend wants my nails to be long so i tried making my nails longer. Not really long just medium length and it aint bad i just have to clean it on a weekly basis and i put clear nail polish to look neat instead of colored ones.

Im a girl, but i have incredibly short nails. I dont bite them , i cut them completely

I always like my nails short.. I don't like long nails as they look very dirty when long... Infact, I cut my nails every 5 days, so that they don't even get a chance to grow long... Long nails look good on girls, and it should stay that way only... Infact, I want to tel u one thing.. I always like girls who have nice tidy hands with long nails.. Infact I always go for long nails when looking for girls as partners... I can say that girls with nice tidy hands and long nails turn me on...

I always keep my nails short because I used to play the violin and I needed them short to play. I wouldn't know what to do with my hands if my nails were long.

i like my nails short and clean. but not at the shortest coz that would already hurt. i keep a little just so it wont hurt. been that way since i was a lid and i still like it that way now that im grown up. i cant keep a manicure on my hand coz i have a lot to do and i would only destroy them before the day ends. but with my toes its a different story, though its not that long, i like having a foot spa and a pedicure after. i like pampering my feet and love my toes with bright colors!

I keep my nails cut short, just enough to polish if I want. I never had the ambition to grow and care for my nails. I think they look just as nice or nicer than some women who wear theirs like claws. I keep them neatly trimmed and filed, with a soft pink blush colored polish just for the shine.

i don't like long nails,although they look beautiful.i would like to keep them short and clean.

I prefer short nails than the long one.I like to have short nail and no manicure,it really looks natural and like me im doing all work in the house including laundry,i also do cooking so i must maintain short nails and it must be clean.

i cut my nails as short as i can coz if left to grow ,it can spread bacteria into our body when eating , rubbing our eyes and so on.my cousin is a medical doc . and he scolds me each time i get lazy to cut my nails . even toe nails it's very important.

Hi, I like to have my nails long, but it s hard to write with them on the laptop.So I have them long only for special times, when I go somewhere, or when I am on vocation.Also I do my manicure at home, because I like to do it and also put color on them.It s something creative for me too, even if it's sounds crazy:)

I have trouble growing my nails. Actually, I have no trouble but they peel and split on me. I wish that I could have beautiful nails. My were long about a week ago. Tonight I only have on long thumbnail. They are easier short. But for once, I would like a beautiful manicure.

Hi there Claire.. Well, just like you.. I also like my nails short because I find it cleaner and easier to maintain. My mom doesn't really want me to put some nail colors particularly dark colors because she doesn't want to. . I don't want either.. I prefer short nails and that's it. If my nails grow , I'll cut it after some time. Best of luck to you.

I have really bad OCD, i cant stand having my nails long at all. I always have them short. Same thing with my hair.

no,my nails is short,i maitain it by short coz its easy for me to manage it ,to clean it ,and i did not put manicure and pedicure ,even thou its look atrrative if u have like this but i still not put on it ,,im single mom of two and a lot of work everyday its hard for me to work fast if my nails is long ,,i just keep it clean everyday and its ok to me ....

I try to, I normally wear fake nails though so I can have nice long nails.

There was a period of time during my teenage years when I love growing my nails long. I think it had something to do with my rebellious side. Back then we weren't allowed to have long nails at school ha ha ha... Nowadays I like them very short 'coz it's more practical that way. Besides, it's easier to massage my hubby with short nails he he he...I don't have to worry whether I'll hurt him or not he he he...
