slow computer

Can anyone tell me how I can get my laptop to speed up when starting up and shutting down?
I have tried all the tips on the websites, disk defragmenting, removing unused programmes, selecting the programmes to start on startup etc.
Its is taking at least 20 minutes for the computer to start up and shut down.
I have a wireless internet connection.

There are many factors if computer slow down:
1. It can be infected by Virus
2. Lack of RAM
3. You have been installing many program especially program
that new in release so will slowing down your computer.
SOLUTION:
1. Format and reinstall WIndows.
2. Add more Memori / RAM. and upgrade you computer.
3. Be carefull if installing new program that new in
release.
4. Use light ANTIVIRUS but effective, for example the most
light Antivirus in the world is Antivir and NOD32.
5. Use System Restore to come back to previous state if you
think your computer have been slowing down.

Go to Star - run and whrite prefetch and Ok
You find Many files delet it and now whrite in Run temp You find files delet it and now whrite %temp% you find files delet it .
Now whrite in Run system.ini you find in a line the word [386enh] delet 386 and make 30000 Now you can see the Max speed of your Pc.
