*shrugs* Mostly annoyance, to be honest. I did really enjoy a couple of the activities I did, but for the most part I wasn't really into high school. I took a lot of the advanced courses and was even taking college courses while still in high school, but I didn't fit in with the nerds. In fact, the group I was a part of was called "freaks"... and the closest I can think of to describe them in modern terms was some kind of cross between Goths and skaters.
I was really unpopular early on in high school, mainly because of religious differences from the other students, but also because I had post-traumatic stress disorder from childhood abuse and was easily triggered... meaning I was quickly known for beating up boys who even walked too close to me. *cringes*
Later on in high school I was very popular among the "freaks" at least, in fact I had this group of younger students who seemed to have nothing better to do than follow me around. My senior year especially I couldn't seem to go anywhere without my freshman following. It was weird, and all seemed to come back to someone finding a notebook of my darker poetry, and deciding I was some kind of Goth heroine or something. Very strange. To be honest, my sudden popularity made me a little uneasy if anything, though it is useful to have people following you around sometimes. (Boy this one kid gave awesome footrubs.)
