My book 'Surviving Jane' is supposed to be out the end of September or early October. I should be given an exact release date here very soon, but I do know it is going to be around that time period.
Anyway, www.freewebs.com/gingergillenwater has the information. I'm very excited :)

Wow that's awesome. That's a great accomplishment. I bet you are so happy that sounds so exciting. I'm sure it must have been a long process but well worth it. You should be proud of yourself. I hope you reach the best sellers list! Good luck with your second book. Do you plan on writing as a career?

Thanks so much :)
I do intend on writing being my career. It has been a second income for me for several years now, but this is my first novel. The second one should be out next year. :) It is called, 'Through the Eyes of a Child' and I'm working on an anthology called 'Through the Eyes of a Child.' Both projects are running simultaneously.

Wow. I went to your website and was reading about it... I want to read this book so badly, but am not sure I will be able to. As a survivor of abuse myself, I've found that sometimes I can do volunteer work to help other survivors and such and be okay, and other times I can't even hear certain words without freaking out. But I really admire the work you are doing here, and I really want to try to read your book when it comes out!

I tend to write poetry about things that happened to me more often that actually write out the story, but I think perhaps someday I would like to try. I have started stories about fictional characters with histories similar to mine, but never quite been able to follow through with them. So it's really inspiring to me that you could write this book. =)

Hun, I appreciate that so much.
You'll be able to write it out someday. Don't force it because it'll come out when it is ready :)

Oh wow. I so appreciate that.
I used to not be able to read, smell, or see certain things because they would be triggering, so it has certainly been a long journey. Writing that book took me about eight years of writing and destroying it, then writing and destroying it again. The good thing is that Putting my life into a fictional character made it a little easier, but it was still a very hard thing to do.
I know it will probably be hard for some to read because it was hard for me to write, but I wrote it with an inspirational tone hoping it may be able to help someone who has been through it, too :)
Thanks again, darlin' :)

Congratulations. It is nice to have a book published, especially if it is about a subject that is not talked about often. I checked your web site. Did you have an agent, or did you go to the publisher directly or was it self=published and how long did it take you to write the book, including drafts and everything else.

Hey there! I don't have an agent, I went to the publisher myself, and it is not self-published :)
I had written bits and pieces of the story for around 8 years and then in June 2006 I decided to start putting it all together into a story based on my own life with fictional characters. The publisher decided to publish it in May 2007 and it came out on October 8th. There were a total of three drafts, so it took 16 months for the entire process...writing, acceptance, editing, drafts, cover design, etc.

As far as being proud, I'm getting there :) Anyone in the world who can order from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and there are some European online booksellers that I'm not really aware of that are carrying it :)
Thanks for the very kind words :)

You'll make it. Yes, it is a tough process, but it is so worth it in the end.

If it weren't for God and the wonderful people he put in my life, the book never would have been finished :) I prayed every single time I hit a hard spot and he would lead me through :)
