Whenever i'm busy in my job, sometimes a idea of going on a long leave comes in my mind. But when i gets a leave of one day it becomes too difficult for me to pass the time. Then i thinks what'll be my condition if somehow i manage to get a long leave. What you think about this? DO you like a like where there is no work, no tension etc...?

Hello helloravinder, I like working and I can't imagine to be a full time housewife, doing just the house chores and nothing else. But at the same time, I am not a high achiever. I don't dream of climbing the corporate ladder and be a somebody one day. Right noe, I do hope that I can just stay at home and don't have to worry about working and earning. But given a choice, I am not too sure whether I can be either one or not.... It is a hard decision though...

Hi helloravinder! Since I graduated from college, I have been working and manning my own business. I was so busy that I have been working 24/7 and I became a full-pledged workaholic. I never stopped at anything to do business and to make profits. I am always on a quest for innovations and new ideas. However, everything stopped when I got married. i took the role of a good housewife and the change was drastic. At first, I was enjoying the quiet space and the leisure time I have for myself and my hubby but soon I began missing the crazy world of business. I am now trying to be productive in small scales like having a small business that is home based and cater to a few and selected clients. Don't get me wrong, my hubby has nothing to do with my giving up the business, I just wanted to have children rightaway and in order to do that I was advised by my doctor to get a complete rest, free of physical and mental stress at that time. And so I did. But now, i really missed doing business again. Take care and have a nice day!

My job is about as stress-free as I could ever hope for. But it's boring. So I wish I could work *Less*. But I wouldn't want to be unemployed completely.

yes I feel the same way too...before I used to stay at home and take care of my children for 4 years...I get bored sometimes being at home because I wanted to help my husband but...even if you don't work being at home is not easy...the household chores it will drive you crazy too...Working at home is a fulfilling one too...taking care of the family is not an easy job...

Hi, i think people would vary in this response as each person is different and their choices and opinions would be different too. This happens with many people including my husband, i guess they are total work-a-holics, and when they do have a leave its like, what do i do now, and they are happiest when they are working. I guess they dont know how to enjoy a holiday or what they should do that would keep their minds off tension and worries and they can simply just relax and not do anything related to work and just be with the family members. But for me its the other way round, as i do look forward for holidays and knowing its a leave or a holiday, i make the most of it and am just with my spouse and kids and family, and a total cut off from my work, and i dont think of work at all during those days, and when i am back to work, then its only work and work for me and nothing else too! So i guess, where and when we are, be fully present in that moment and work. If you are partying then party like hell and if you are working then work only and do nothing else. Whatever you do , do it fully and to the core, if you want to enjoy that thing. Similarly those who cannot enjoy a holiday would probably be carrying work and thoughts of work, all over with them, making them think of work always. This would surely irritate the family members and they themselevs could not be able to enjoy their holiday too. I would suggest to simply ' switch off ' from work when you do and are on leave, that is the best way to enjoy a good and make use of your holiday.
