What happened at Summerslam after the camera stopped filming...I was there...

As most of you know I was at Summerslam and from what I hear from friends of mine who watched it on Pay Per View - Summerslam ended with Cena beating Orton. Well after that most of the crowd was going wild for Cena but believe it or not there are many people who are not fans of John Cena. Anyway, he grabbed someone's sign that read "If Cena Wins, We Riot" and held it up in the ring, read it and then put it down and stepped on it. Meanwhile most of the arena was emptying out at that point (we were still there) and many non-Cena fans starting throwing water, gatorade and beer bottles into the ring at Cena. Totally uncalled for! Meanwhile security was all over the fans all night long if you tried to take a picture with your cell phone (cell phone pictures are not permitted in the arena) but now mayhem is breaking out and everyone's throwing stuff into and at the ring and Cena - and the staff does nothing! Ain't that crazy!! On the way out, I saw Cena go up to someone sitting a little off to the side of ringside but I'm not sure what he said or if that was who he took the sign from in the first place but anyway thank god nobody rioted but I don't think John Cena was too happy....

I wonder why nobody wants to see Cena as champion. He is a good champion and has proven why he is the champ time after time. I was surprised to hear that people were throwing things at him. Thought they might do that to Orton or some of the other wrestlers but not him. They should be throwing things at Khali. Glad that nobody got hurt and wonder if there will be news about this on the net.

I like him as Champ too and was quite amazed the first time a while back that I heard NJ WWE fans chanting Cena s*cks while he was wrestling! Not that I think everyone likes him but he is a well liked champ for the most part. My friend says that NJ fans don't like him because he's from Boston and NJ/NY Yankees fans have that whole rival with the Boston Red Sox so I guess Cena now became a part of that hatrid.

i watched...me and family just so you know there is a guy who comes to every match just about sits where u just said and puts up good and bad signs.. they call him the sign guy so this was actually ok and set up...if not set up it was agreed upon that dealing back and forth with this guy is ok... thought u might want to know that...

oh wow - thanks for the input! I've been to all the matches in the last two years that are in NJ and I've never seen that confrontation before. Obviously the bottles getting thrown at Cena in the ring were not part of the skit but i'm thinking in my head when Cena was in his face - I'd be pretty scared if Cena was staring me down like that! lol!!

Whether they like him or not, people need to stop being such sore losers and accept that the game is just that a game and that he deserves more respect than that! I like cena and I think that he is one of the better champions that have been on there and I hope that he keeps the belt a lot longer. I don't think that Orton or Triple H deserve it and I know Edge doesn't!

John cena s**ks.... he doesn't deserve to be the champ anymore and it's getting bore.....

I suppose Cena finally knows, that people dont want to see him a champion anymore, it is getting boring seeing him as champ, and even if Orton won, peolle would rahter that, and them have Orton loose it to someone esle other than Cena. Cena should chase something else.

oh, no. I can't believe I couldn't stop myself from opening this discussion. I couldn't help it. I didn't want to. I wanted to watch it myself. I get the telecast here today, but at my sister's place. But I couldn't help it when I saw Cena's name somewhere, in the little bit of discussion that shows before you open it. I'm so glad he won. I don't care, if people say they're tired of seeing him as champion. I'll never be tired of it. And it's true, there is no one else in Raw right now who is more deserving than him to be champ. And well, there's rioters everywhere these days. And that sign is so old now that it's boring. I remember the first time, it was in "one night stand" of 2006, in Cena's match against RVD that I first saw that sign. Good thing there wasn't a riot there, cause ECW fans are let's just say, a little more extreme than the WWE fans. I still love Cena no matter what. It's so cool you could be there for summerslam, it's only the best pay per view after wrestlemania. That's awesome! I'm glad there weren't any more results of other matches, in this topic, cuz I really wanna keep the suspense, but I guess the most important to me was the Cena-Orton match. I did think they would let Orton win this time. Glad to know my prediction was wrong.

I believe this is due to the long reign that Cena is enjoying as the the champion. I am myself a Cena fan, but his long reign is now getting to me as well. I can understand why certain fans want a change of order at the top. I believe this show off by the fans might just be the cue to WWE to write a new script and put someone else as the top dog of the ring. Cheers! Ram

That was a very interesting story to read, particularly after overhearing three hours of WWE tonight while I was on the computer. My father likes wrestling and I've been watching it on and off with him, for years. Now that I live with him again, I hear wrestling several times a week, whether from the computer desk, or from my bedroom. Or, I watch it with him, which is the case more often than not. I find it entertaining and funny. My father takes it very seriously. I am surprised that the people acted this way toward John Cena and security did nothing about it! It always seems like people really like John Cena, but his reign has been for a LONG time...I guess people get bored! So did Orton beat John Cena in the end...is it as staged as it seems? Or was it real, and people were just really ticked off that John Cena won yet again? What is the real truth behind what happened at Summerslam this weekend? I'd like to know, and so do the people! Thanks for what information you've given, being a first-person audience. That is some report of the events there. What do you think of this Mr. McMahon love child scandal? I believe it is staged. STAGED!

I like Cena and I hope he never looses the belt - his matches are great to watch. As for the people who hate him and throw stuff at him - they are only jealous.... and as we all know their are always those who like being antagonists and will just go along with other people cos they think throwing stuff is fun.

From what I have noticed over the years is that the women really like Cena. He has alot of female fans, thus boyfriends really come around to hating him. I, personally, think he is a good champion. He stirs up the crowd, good or bad and recation is always a plus. I also believe that 24 months is a long time to be champion. It is time for someone else to hold the title but the question is who. They need someone who can bring out emotions from the crowd. I don't think Orton is the one to do it. 7
