What do you want to write if your a writer?

I worked as a web content writer in a small company. as a writter I don't have the freedom to choosed what I want to write. My editors assigned me in a certain topic, so if given a chance to write anything I like; I would want to write about war in Iraq. I want to know what others what to write about if given a chance.

i worked for two years as a newswriter and feature writer in a radio station. same thing with you i was assigned particular topics to write, i didn't have the chance to choose which topic i want. what i want to write about is a documentation of people and their smart contributions. A format like the guiness world record but it tackles on the exemplary contributions of people. good day.
