The internet will not isolate us from one another

Since I bought a computer last year,a new world has opened up before me,a world that reaches far beyond my immediate surroundings. Every morning, the first thing I do after opening my eyes is to access the internet to look at the top news stories of the day.in the evening,I will again sit by my computer and roam the world.the internet brings me live world cup football games .It also brings me new friends with whom I met virually in chat rooms. We exchange views on topics of interest and pour our hearts out to one another like intimate friends. So,instead of isolating us from one another, the internet serves to shorten or eliminate distance, and helps to bring friends closer.

I totally agree. Although I love my immediate surroundings and my close friends in real life, I love the opportunities provided by the internet and its use worldwide. I have 'met' and spoken to so many people that I otherwise never would have known, and it is a great avenue for news, discussion, information etc. I'm all for internet use coupled with a healthy lifestyle =D

In fact the internet brings us together and closer. It is not separating us. Thanks and have a nice day.

While it is true that the Internet has made it possible to get more friends from around the world, it is also true that if you remain for the most part of a day behind your computer - your social life will start lacking, and for some this becomes a big problem. It is not easy to have set times for this and that, and if someone is as Internet addicted as I am , than seeing friends becomes problematic, and you might start loosing friends this way. It all depends of course what you value most, and how you choose to use the time in your day.
