now i work only privately, but still have stress situations. how i cope with it? hmm.. luckily dont have to be in direct contact with people, then communicating through email. while typing half of words and thoughts i put on side, and then i sound calm :) and then its possible to finish the job for which we are in contact.

I'd go out partying and have fun to relieve stress.Or listen to heavy weight music to calm myself down.

When I worked in a call center at Baylor I used to get up and go to the bathroom when I needed a minute, and when I got there I would stop thinking, count to ten or twenty or whatever number necessary and then take a deep breath and reapproach the craziness. Good luck!

Hi,
It depends upon the work I am doing I may take a take long breath hold for just few seconds and live it and think my tensions and stress are gone with the breath when I leave it out. A that time I just try to close my eyes also think that I am under water or pool. This what I do mostly when I in stress this I got from a discipline of Sri. Sri. Ravishankar the Art of living founder.

my work related stress comes from my colleagues and employees and not from my boss or above authority. while i am very much satisfied with my boss and the respect is mutual, i just cannot get along with some of the employees who get on my head every now and then.
i haven't really figured out any way out, but wat i generally do is to keep to myself and start reverse counting. on situations are graver this doesn't work and i get up, go to other departments or outside and look upto to the sky, breathe deeply and come back.
i am the kind who cannot leave the professional baggage on workplace and come home relaxed. i problem being i carry all the hangovers to home. i have been struggling not to do that. hope things get better for me.
thanx

I try to stay calm. But when that bucket gets full, I need to step into the break room and take a moment. Sometimes I take a deep breath or run into the bathroom. I run the cold water over my face. Or sometimes I ask another employee to take my place for a minute.

I try to shift my attention to my breath , watch my breath and become aware of myself without any effort .This really helps
