Grandmaster Flash and all the old stylers.
Hardly hear them anymore these days, but more and more you hear the commercial rap coming in.
50 Cents for example. For me its not hiphop/rap, its just a way of making some fast money.
Give me Cypress Hill instead or NWA and lots of other old styles.
So, you like the commercial more or? ( i dont!)

You are right about 'ivasion' of more and more commercial rap for today, but it is matter of oursleves to decide to accept it or not. It seems many people like it, so it becomes more and more everyday.
Cypress Hill is one of my first and favourit rap bands I found value and respect still now, together with Wu Tangs for example, at that time. I used to listend CH latin style record in spanish as I liked very much how 'Tequila Sunrise' sounds in spanish. I like their style too, as they are as they are, 'mexican style', not trying to be some kind of 'sweet heartbreakers' or keep some other artificial mask.
Would You agree that today's 'Everlast', fromer 'House of Pain' song 'Jump Around' is something bit similar to CH?
