no video capture hardware

I just bought this little VGA USB 2.0 Web Cam and it comes with a driver and software CD. I thought I had installed everything but when I try to use it it tells me "sorry, you have no video capture hardware" Does this mean my brand new laptop isn't webcam "ready"????Or something is up with this webcam. Any help would help!

i also had the same problem when i install a4tech webcam.. and i gave up and didnt use it anymore so i just use other webcam and it works perfectly.

Did you read the manual and installed the drivers correct? And if you don that or it still doesn't work. Then use a microsoft 'solve problem'. Unleas you have a mac then the problme can be that the cam doens't whant to work on mac (but normaly it does also).
