As some of you might have noticed, I haven't been on MyLot as much for a little while. The reason, my friends, is that a very close friend of mine has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. He just finished his first week of chemo treatment and I have been with him every step of the way.
In my short life, I have seen many people deal with a variety of cancers. Some of them took their treatment very well while others became very ill with treatment. My friend, I'm happy to say, has so far taken well to his treatment.
All I ask from my fellow mylotters, is to send out some positive thoughts for him so he will continue to do well. Also, if you would like to share your stories about people close to you dealing with cancer, I would most appreciate them.
Take care everyone....
Carolyn

Hello lifeluver,
I wish ur will be recoverd from colic cancer very soon. Cancer has very well treatment if it is found at primary stage.
I have seen my aunt (my friend's mom) recoverd from colic cancer. Her cancer was found in initial stage but she had to take chemotherapy. I went to visit her after some days of chemo and with great shock I saw that my beloved physically fit aunt has been so thin that I could hardly recognise her. After 6 chemo, she is now ok. Now she is taking oral chemo for the last disslovement of cancer tissue and it is much more safer than chemotherapy as she just need need to take pills. Her health is now as before. It is great pleasure for me to see her nice smily face again.
Thanks

Thank you for sharing this about your aunt. I, too, have seen a few relitives transformed by chemo treatments. I also know from these experiences that cancer IS beatable and your aunt proves that. It is true too that cancer treatments have come a long way and this makes me beleive even more that he will pull through.

Thanks for these kind words. I will most definately continue to be there to support him, even when he doesn't seem to want it. Your prayers are most welcome :)
