How many people actually have telecommuting jobs from home?Do you enjoy working for home better than actually having to travel to work?

I have a few online businesses that I do, mainly in direct sales but I also work from home doing a "real" job. I am an electronic assembler and work right across the street from my house. We always have other small assembly jobs that need done in addition to the machine stuff and right now we are really busy. I only work 2 hours a day 4 days a week because of their hours. I cannot work during the day because of my kids. We have a few employees and are looking for more but it seems that finding GOOD employees is really difficult. So they have started allowing me to work at home again (I did it a little bit about a year ago as well)!! I grab the things I need and bring them home. I do as much as I can during the day and a little more in the evening. I get paid the same amount as when I am working there. All I have to do is write down my time when I go in. I really love it!!!! But it is really hard to get things done at home when no one takes you seriously. Everyone thinks that because you are there that you are able to do everything like you normally would. It is really hard to get people to understand that what you are doing is serious and that you need time and space to be able to get it done properly!

I understand.Because I'm a stay at home mom and I'm looking for employment where I can watch my 1 yr old daughter.Who is a very busy person.Poeple think you just sit at home eating bons bons all day.Taking care of kids its a job all by itself much less trying to do an additional job.Never mind what they say because people wished they could stay at home and work too.
