What comes first before a rain storm, the lighting or the thunder? In my opinion, the thunder. So,then i ask you what comes first, the lighting or the thunder? Why do you think so?

Thunder travels quite a distance in all directions. The lightning could be just over the horizon, on the other side of a hill, inside a cloud or even simply behind you where you can't see it but you'll still hear it. You also have to consider that lightning is a quick flash, you could blink and miss it even if you were looking the right way, but thunder rumbles for a good while & is hard to miss.

Thank you for your good question about the nature happening. And my answer is lightning comes first. Lightning actually cause the thunder. As lightning is charge activity while thunder is sound activity. Try to light up one piece of match? What will you find comes first?.
Lightning produce either, positive or negative charge. If it gives out positive charge, it will be attracted by any negative charge material and the vice versa. and it produces megavolt of voltage. The strike of charges in the clouds will produce sound as thunder.
That is why we need lightning arrestor and earthing pole to be fixed at our house or building.
