Did you have a preference? Boy or girl?

When you were having kids did it matter if it was a boy or a girl? I have heard of some people that only wanted boys and some that only wanted girls. I personally didn't care as long as they were healthy. The only thing I was really hoping for was a boy for the first one, which I had, but it wouldn't have mattered if he was a girl.

Yes the most important thing is that they are healthy. I am glad that you got your wish though. Thanks!

I was fortunate I got what I wanted each time except the last one I have four children. First-girl, Second-boy, Third-girl, Fourth-girl, Even thought I wanted a boy my lil girl is so precious to me and I could not really ask for more. I realized why I wanted a boy, is so one of my children would look like me! My son looks like his great-grand father (on his dad's side) I wanted a boy so I can have at least one that looked like me. All of my children looks like thier father or someone in his family. In the end I love my children and my oldest is almost out of the house. I dont know what to do with my self because my children are always around me and if even one of them is not there I am lost. A boy or girl it dont matter because they are mine!

I feel the same way, I am lost if my kids are not home. They grow up so quick. I have four kids too and my oldest is nearly 12, but it feels like it was just the other day that I had him. Thanks!

I did hope with each of my pregnancies for one or the other but it didn't matter to me one way or the other as long as they came out healthy . I believe it is natural to have hope for one reason or another but in the end it truely doesn't matter when that baby is placed in their arms .
My best friend when she had her second child wanted another boy . She had always stated that she never wanted a little girl as she felt that a little girl would be too hard to handle because she was looking at how she was as a child . She ended up having a beautiful little girl and was beyond thrilled and said she couldn't beleive she had ever felt she wouldn't want a little girl after holding her baby . I believe for most of us this is the way it is !!

I know some people that have only had girls and they have said they never wanted a boy because they think they would be too hard to handle. The thing is boys and girls really do the same things and they can both be naughty. I always wanted at least one of each and I am so happy to be blessed with 3 sons and 1 daughter. All that matters is that they are healthy. Thanks!

I really wanted a little boy first. I'm not sure why, I just did. I wouldn't have loved a little girl any less, I just wanted a boy. And that's what I got.
Next time around, I don't really care whether it is a girl or boy, as long as he or she is healthy. It would be nice to have a little girl, because I would love to pick out dresses or baby dolls and things. But I would like to have a little boy, because he would be able to use more of my son's old things, and we wouldn't have to buy as many new things. That would give us more extra money for fun things to DO instead of just spending it all on new clothes.

Yes the health of the child is the most important thing. I don't know why I wanted a boy first but I always did too. Thanks!

If there is a next time, I hope you do get your little girl. I had two boys first and I said to my husband that we had to keep going until I have a little girl as I always wanted a boy and a girl. Luckily my third was a girl and then we had another boy after her. Thanks!

Hi superchook! When my hubby and I were newlyweds, we wanted our first born to be a boy. And for a long, long time now, we are still waiting for that baby. And it really doesn't matter really now, whether it is a girl or a boy for a first born as long as we will be blessed with one for I am really running out of time. Take care and have a nice day!

It sounds like your having trouble having a baby. I feel for you as I had a lot of trouble getting pregnant. Hang in there. I really hope you do get to have one. Good luck. Thanks!

a boy is preferably the best choice. possibly beacause after all genetic inheritance matters and male do it for father side.but if gal she is equally a good choice bcoz now a days gal or boy both have equal status and they have equal opportunity to grow.moreover gals are more attached towards father so emotionally they have a lead over the boys.

hi friend, first thing is this that a kid is only a kid not a girl or boy and is the "symbol of love" of his father and mother. If you fall in love then don't care about his result, and you only do your work i.e. make love with your partner. I think there are no difference between girls and boys, they are only cute, soft, lovely and pretty.
In my opinion everyone must looks for a child not for a girl or boy.

my first child was a boy, so naturally the second one i was hoping for a girl.. so i decided to wear pink everyday,,pink shirt, pink underwear, pink shoes,, you name it-always something pink. now i know that it really had nothing to do with it, but i had a girl! and guess what her favorite color is? you bet,, its pink!

You are so right when it comes to health of our unborn children....I just had my baby on the 7th of Aug and I can remember when I found out he was a boy I was SAD, I didn't mean to and with him now here I wouldn't change him for the world. Health is the most important part and although it may not be what we wanted it was what we were blessed with -) This is my little man Ashton with Mommy
Best wishes your Friend

He is sooo cute. I love the picture you have put here. I am glad that he was healthy. Sometimes you can't help feeling a bit sad when you are hoping for one and get the other. Like you said, you wouldn't change him for the world and that is what counts. You are definetely blessed with your little man. Thanks!

With my first I really did just want a healthy baby, but deep down I really wanted a girl. I got a girl. The second time I wanted a boy just so I could have one of each. In fact my pregnancy was so different that I was sure it was a boy...it was another girl. But I'm so glad I have my two girls. I still would like a little boy...but I do so well with girls I think I would be lost with a boy. lol

If you decide to have more and you had a boy, I am sure you would do fine. My sister has two girls and she said if she ever had another one and it was a boy, she wouldn't know what to do with him as well, lol! I am glad your happy with your two girls. Thanks!
