Do you think the internet is full of lonely people?

Have you ever wondered why people chat and try to make friends on the internet? Is it because they lack a real social life,or is it just all fun and games? I enjoy the internet and I enjoy posting messages and networking with people all across the world, but I sometimes wonder do I enjoy this because I am lacking something in my real life. Am I digging too deep? How do you feel?

Perhaps partly because of this, but I believe this is not entirely the reasons, the Internet is the reason why popular because of its convenient and efficient, and now this very fast paced society, perhaps because of this, the Internet can save a lot of time, so people can rely on it.

May be for someone,'cause they feel lonely in real social life. As for me,I have a lot of friends in real social llife. But I still like chat and try to make friends on the internet.It can help me make more friends and enlarge my eyeshot.

Do u know what the word internet came from- 'Inter'active 'Net'work... And all the people here are trying to interact with others through the various means that Internet provides.. All of the people here are lonely people, who don't have active social life...

No I don't think the internet is full of lonely people. I believe its full of different types of people not only lonely ones, nowadays almost all people around the world uses the internet. I do enjoy the internet and sometimes spend hours but I do go out and have fun too, always. :-)
