what's the meaning of different color "stars" above your picture???

My mylot profiles go up to 100, and it appears a yellow star inside"8", i don't know what's the meaning. i saw above many people's pictures there are stars,with different colors and numbers. i just got confused what are they stand for?? who can tell me?

congratulations for reaching more than 100 posts and earning an 8 star rating.
the different colors of the star correspond to the different number rating here in mylot. i also got mine recently. the rating stand for your reputation here in mylot. the more people giving your positive (+) marks, the higher your rating will gonna be. the guidelines has some answers. goodluck! =)

well it is up to the mylot user. it is encouraged that we give rating. what i do is to always rate the responses i receive with a +, even just to appreciate them for responding to my discussions. this also applies to the discussions we responded to.
the +-! are always at the end of each post. =)

i think the person had been rate a lot. And you have many best respond.Actually i don't think it is important. so i never check my star . Important to me is i post as many as possible. lol

Star rating represents the quality and level of your work in mylot. The higher star rating you got, the higher is the degree of quality he enjoys. It represents the love and effection that one enjoys in mylot and this is due to the positive response he gives in the discussion he responds.
