i used to believe that i needed popularity started in fist year high school and i have attained it, well it was good until i started understanding how fake i have tried to become, so i went out of the crowd and i am still trying to find my authentic self, amongst or outside the crowd in college.

Personally, I think popularity is over-rated, and I'm someone who is liked by many for whatever reason.
I don't crave acceptance from others, and I certainly don't set out to impress them. I am all about having my own opinions, beliefs, looks etc even if it puts my 'popularity' in jeopardy.
I'm happy with my 3 or 4 close friends, other people can like me, sure, but I don't care either way.

There was a time for the longest tiem that I really did NEED to be liked and accepted by everyone I met but thats because I was craving what I'd been refused growing up....Now though, I could care less if ppl like me..sureits nice if they do but if they dont it doesnt phase me..more than that it actually amuses me really...I know what kind of woman, person, friend, etc etc i am and truth be told there is no reason for ppl to hate me..but if hating me or not liking me helps them sleep at night - whatever, have at it LOL.....I dont NEED the acceptance of anyone other than my kids...I dont even NEED it from my husband or bf....I like me, my kids like me..thats all thats important to me ya know...

in all honesty i could really care less if ppl dont like me. if they dont like me then they should just go away and not bother me anymore lol!
i wasnt a popular kid in school, but i wasnt an outcast either. and even then it just wasnt a big deal to me. i had more important things on my mind, like graduating early and getting the hell out of there LOL!

One thing that I learned about being popular in any arena is that there is bound to be a lot of drama involved. Some people love and even crave it, but I don't. Give me quiet and harmony any day. Just a few close friends who care for and respect each other.

I am happy with many friends, but much more happy if i have few friends but they are my closest pals and true to me. It is not necessary for me to be like by all the people around me, you can never pleased everyone. I just wanna be me and with people i like and whom i trusted the most.
