who is your favourite writer

My favourite writer is R.K Narayan.He is an Indian Writer.
I love reading his stories. I even forgets my favourite T.V programmes when i have his books with me. He writes about indian culture and ways of living in villages. He had created an artificial place called MALGUDI; his every story hangs around that place. His description of mountains, lakes, rivers, saints, mornings,evenings and like that everything related to nature and its vast resources fills everyheart with coolness.

You would like Margaret Coel if you like the Native American history and mystery. I've read about 7 of her books. I don't know if she has written more than these. I wish she would. She's good.
I also like James Patterson and Stuart Woods for detective/mystery type fiction. I need some suggestions for other authors who write like them. I also LOVE Janet Evanovich. I've read all of her. Need suggestions for more writers like her.

I cant specify who my favourite writer is as i have read so many books from different authors and i like something in each and every author......i like sidney sheldon for his brilliance...nora robert for her adventurous spirit and jk rowling for her mindblowing creativity.......

my favourite writer is W.H.Davies, only because of his poem Leisure, he lived from 1871 - 1940, the peom is a clasic and every one has heard it, but most don't know the name or writer.
the poem goes:
What is this life if, full of care,
we have no time to stand and stare;
No time to stand beneath the boughs,
and stare as long as sheep or cows;
No time to see, in broad daylight,
streams full of stars, like skies at night;
No time to turn beauty's glance,
and watch her feet, how they can dance;
No time to wait till her mouth can,
enrice that smile her eyes began;
A poor life this if, full of care,
we have no time to stand and stare.

i can't really choose a favorite writer since i am a bookworm! there's just to many good writers out there for me to choose!
