I have only ever owned a desktop computer and I love it.I dont think I would like having a laptop.I cannot say that a desktop is better than a laptop as I have never owned one,but I would say I much prefer sitting indoors with my desktop. What kind of computer do you prefer.?

I don't have a laptop but I definitely would like to have one so that I can bring it anywhere. For now, I would prefer a desktop because I can use easily the keyboard of a desktop pc than a laptop. Also, I do not need to charge a desktop pc unlike a laptop that you need to charge it especially when you're going to bring it somewhere. It's also much cheaper to buy a desktop than a laptop especially if you're on a tight budget. I can also fix a desktop easily unlike laptop wherein it is very hard to look for replacement of parts.

I had a laptop before, but unfortunately, it was stolen in the office. Actually there are many computers in the office, but others are desktop computer, it's not easy to take out, so only my laptop was stolen and all my information was gone with the laptop. At that time, I thought, if I used desktop computer, there would be no problem. So now I use desktop computer,I do not need worry about this problem now, and the desktop computer has the same function as laptop, I like it. LOL

For me:
I like Desktop because I can easily fix or troubleshoot it if there was a problem on computer parts(hardware) than Laptop because Laptop is sensitive than Desktop. I can easily assemble and replace its parts than Laptop.
But Laptop is very convenient because it was very handy, you can bring and use it anywhere you want because of its size, compare to Desktop. You need to bring everything to use it.

I think desktop is better than laptop.Because desktop is designed for hard use.The laptop is sensitive and it is difficult to exchange their internal objects. But desktop is can able to change any part of it's body and is the better choice for graphical based eorks like maya.... because its able to loads a lot amount of data to process.

I have both and I do not see much of difference, only thing I can bang on desktop keyboard which is a separate piece, whereas on laptop it is smooth and it cannot handle bangs. Keys get stuck. Also I was told the servicing takes more time and money than computers.

I have had a desktop in the past and I now have a laptop. I like the laptop much better. I like how I can take it anywhere I go that is only in the summer. I walk alot and its rainy all the time. So it stays home. I like how i can lay in bed and play Sims2, go out in the living room and get on the internet.

Now, we do have both of the desk top and laptop computers at home. The desk top is often used by my sons while I usually use the laptop, but sometimes I let my old son to use the laptop and to bring it to school or outside when he is doing some projects. I guess both desktop and laptop computers have the same functions. The only difference is that the laptop is more handy and you can bring it to anywhere, unlike the desk top.
