Michael Vick ! Do you think his fines and punishments were too harsh?

Do you think that Michael Vick's fines and punishments were too harsh? I think because he is a top celebrity and has alot of headlines that it was taken to the extreme! What I am getting at is: If it was you or me that had done this do you think that we would have been fined all those millions of dollars? No, of course not! I definately think it is wrong and anyone participating in this should be fined and punished but I also think that since he is a big name with alot of publicity that the media and animal rights groups took advantage of this to get their messages out to everyone! What is your idea(s) on this?

No, I don't think so. What he did was heinous, no matter how "sorry" he is now. I think people who are in the public eye should be held to higher standards. Whether they choose to be or not, they are role models for many children. It's part of being a celebrity and comes with the territory. His fine should be proportionate to the amount of money he makes. If he were only fined as much as the common man it would have had no effect on him, just a drop in the bucket, and sent the message that what he did was no big deal.

Awesome comment!!! yes, isn't it funny that after the big named celebrities get caught that they are all of a sudden " so very sorry for what they have done!"
