Everywhere I go, I see Koreans. In fact, according to the Department of Tourism, the Koreans are now the top visitors of the Philippines, surpassing the Americans and the Japanese. Now, what do you think is/are the reason as to why the Koreans keep on coming?

Yes, the Philippine Peso has a higher value than the Korean Won. On the other hand, the Philiipine Peso has a lower value than the United States Dollar. Therefore, it is better to spend your dollar in the Philippines than to spend your won in the Philippines. Anyway, they really love to put up their own business in the Philippines. However, these busineses normally cater to only Koreans.

I don't know if it is a contributing factor, but I spent two years in Korea and I have been to the Philippines, and by far, the Philippines is a prettier place to look at. Korea is a hard land, especially in Winter...which the Philippines doesn't have. The summers are much the same as the Philippines, but the cold winters are brutal.

Easy with the usage of the WHITE term: Some of my family(mostly Native American) might resent that. Ha! Just joking. This thing of skin color or race is a lot of nonsense. None of us had a chose. Thanks!

It's very nice to hear that you do not descriminate other people. I always encounter people from other races who think that they are always better than the other. Thank you very much. I'm sure you'll earn the admiration of my people.

Thank you for your response. Based on my own research, the climate that you mentioned is one contributing factor. But the biggest contributor, per my own assessment, is the language that you, my white brothers, have taught us.

Well, if i had known the that you were living in the philippines the whole time, i would have taken it into consideration. even though you lived there for several years, you must have something to like about the philippines. What do you like about the philippines? do you like the people? do you speak the language? do you like the fruits and vegetables? or do you like everything? it's hard to like everything about a place. you must always have likes and dislikes about something. i am very curious what they are. huh? what do you think?

i don't know the exact reason why koreans love to come to the philippines. you should ask yourself why you love to come to the philippines? you must know the answer to this question because you come to our country. you should find out the answer to your question and share it with me. i would be very happy to know the reason why koreans love to come to the philippines. i am hoping that there would be a lot of reason why koreans love to come to the philippines. there's got to be a reason why. only koreans know the answer to this question. so instead of you ansking the question, let me do it. why do koreans love to come to the philippines.

Thank you for your response. With regard to your question as to why do i love to come to the Philippines, I really cannot answer that because I am already living in the Philippines since birth. That's why I am asking that question!

The quality of education in the Philippines is really good and cheaper. You have to come here and enroll in one of our universities. Thanks to our American brothers who taught us their language and established our schooling system while occupying our country for more or less fifty years. Thank you for responding.

Does that mean that they are overstaying if they stayed for more than three months? It's nice to hear that our English teachers are earning some extra money. Thanks for reponding.

For recent surveys conducted about Koreans in the Philippines, many are here to learn the English language. Some just want to visit the country because they find it cheaper than other countries. Also, our country is still beautiful despite the terrorism and economic problems.. we still have beautiful places especially for tourists. :) agree? :)

I have known some koreans and they are rather obsessed by learning english. When I was in Australia they were going to pricy private english schools there. I think the philippines offer english classes at a more competitive price vs US or Australia + it's a beautiful country and I think they feel more at ease being in Asia than in a non-asian country. I know they had trouble adjusting to "western" values and morals and habits & food in Australia. I'm not familiar with the philippines but maybe philipines values, morals and habits and food are closer to those of Koreans.
