Blood Moon

I saw it in Britain, in March. It was the most fantastic sight I have ever seen. It changed from silver to black to blood red, to orange to yellow, to silver, and looked so haunting hanging red in a darkened sky. I've never ever seen anything like that before, and will certainly be up for watching the next one. No, it doesn't mean something bad will happen, it's just a lunar eclipse but the ancients used to fear it. After I'd watched the spectacle, I wrote a poem about it, which you may like to read. Blood moon as we know takes plae when there is a lunar eclipse. That is, when the Earth is between the sun and the moon so that the shadow of the Earth falls on the moon. Perosnally, I have witnessed it last night (August 28, 2007)here in our place (Davao City, Philippines) between 5:52 to 7:22 p.m., peaked at 6:37 p.m. (local time) and lasted a total of 45 minutes and 23 seconds(according to our local PAGASA weather bureau). I heard some people like astrologers and historians saying that this celestial phenomenon would trigger some bad events in the future just like what happened many years past. There are even traditions and superstitious beliefs related to this event. I am not so much into this kind of thing because I only rely my future and life to the One God.

From what people have told me, It was hot that day that's why the moon looked like that.. rather it's true or not i don't know, how ever the next day it was very very warm so it could have something to do with the temps also.. Something bad will happen?? I don't believe so people come up with things like this to scare other people rather if something bad happens or not it's done for a reason not because the moon has red in it.. just my oppion!

I woke up this morning at about 6am and I looked right at the Blood Moon. There was a lunar eclipse last night, and I caught the very last of it this morning. It really is an awesome thing to see. It's been on the news all day. I'm not exactly sure what all the myths are involving it, but I think it has something to do with being a precursor to bad events.

Hi there. Actually here in New Zealand last night we saw the red moon come up from the east, it got half way across the sky then changed back to its normal... Great pic by the way... Have a good one...
