What if it was a murder in self-defense? How would you feel then?

I would definently tell, if for no other reason than the guilt I would have for knowing who had taken a life and seeing the grieving family. I would have to tell.

Yeah, I'd hate to think about the family. Thanks for the comment.

I'd drop a dime on them. What kind of person would I be if I didn't, and what kind of person must I be to have friends who commit murder? I'd like to think that unless it was justifiable homicide, my friends just aren't those kind of people. Besides, I have enough guilt of my own without that secret hanging over me. If my friends ever commit murder, I hope they at least keep it to themselves!

I guess ignorance is bliss. Not knowing is probably easier.

Very good topic, If it was my best friend I would most likely tell tho, I mean its a big deal and if someone murdered someone I liked, I would want them to turn in their best friend too.

I would first encourage my friend to turn themself in. If they refused, I would be forced to turn them in, even though it would be very difficult.
Even if they don't report it, they won't get away with murder. The memory and the guilt will torment them and change them for the rest of their life. If they can face the consequences, they may get some peace inside and be able to eventually do some good things with the rest of their life.
