I have been reading about this recently and the books said we don't need to be born with talent. We can actually learn how to draw. You just need practice step by step and you reach can reach the goal to be really good, soon or later. What do think about this opinion? By the way do you think you have talent in drawing?

I don't think you can learn to draw well. I believe things like art and writing are things you either have a talent for or you don't. Sure, you can learn the basics and do a decent job but I don't think anyone can be great at a creative venture without a passion and a talent for it from the start. I also believe that about singing. You can take vocal lessons and do better but you have to have true inborn talent to be great. Lessons can help the talented people to sing better but they can only help we non-talented people (We being ME) to sing. I have no artistic talent whatsoever. I want it but it isn't there. My only creative talent is writing and I have been doing that since I was four. Classes helped me to structure things but could never teach me to be a good writer. I guess I was born to write because that is all I do well! lol.

Well, I am sure nobody can teach us to be good writer, beacuse each of us has a own style. The thing we can learn is just word choice, organization and other few thing, which are importnat in writing. Have you been succesgull as a writer?Where I can find your articles?I would like to read them.

I just saw this! I was the Executive Editor of WCW Magazine for several years when it was very popular. WCW was a Ted Turner owned international wrestling promotion. I was also the Editor in Chief of RollerJam Magazine. I have written for many magazines both inside of wrestling and sports entertainment and out. Lots of women's mags like Women's World. Now, I write columns on anti aging (www.gardenandhearth.com/anti-aging) and shopping (www.shoppinghelppweb.com) as well as being a Category Lead and Top Reviewer on Epinions.com and a Publisher's Circle member at Viewpoints.com. My name will bring up results if you search - Patty Therre. But I have lots I want to do! I have a novel waiting and another in the works and would like to work for another magazine. I do write for PowerSlam Magazine in the UK but want to branch out once again to women's issues and fiction. Thanks for asking.

anybody can draw as long as the interest is there. there are a lot of art classes and self help materials available. i for one started from scratch. din't have any talent at all in drawing and painting, got into to it with determination, glad my perseverance worked, now i can paint whatever i want, i like my paintings but don't expect others to like them. so be it, just enjoying my time.

took basic art lessons, and just love to go to galleries and look at the paintings and appreciating the fine works of those talented artists. first of all i love to collect paintings first as hobby then i realize that it's a good investment, they appreciate (just like real estate) to upgrade my collections i started unloading some and bought works of known artists, so you may say i'm into buying and selling of paintings. just looking at all those beautiful paintings made me dream that i too will be able to paint. now i can paint just as i dreamt. maybe not as good as those talented artists around but i can say I CAN PAINT. believe me if there's a will there's a way. good day.

Oh, that s really nice to hear that?Where did you take class for your drawing?I would like to try it too.I am not sure, I can draw good, but I belibe you can improve.I read it's all about, what part of brain you use.Left part use the people with interest for art and you can increase it. By the way it 's fine, when you like your painting and don't expect other to like them. Each of us , has a own style.

I think with practice you can learn to draw, if not as well as someone with natural talent, then certainly still good enough. I think the difference is, someone with talent is better able to picture things, to imagine how their sketch will look in certain colours etc, whereas someone without that talent finds it much harder. I certainly think you'd show significant improvement with practice, even if you weren't born with talent.
