I totally agree it is a plain and simple spam mail. I have received these fake mails so many times and I delete them immediately. It's a good thing you posted these mails to everyone and I'm happy for you.

Wow. I thought you were being honest there for a second and I was like "HOw can she truly believe this?" But now I see that it's just a joke-ish post, so I'm happy. I didn't want to have to explain the spam mail to someone who doesn't understand spam.

Well, that was not sent from Yahoo. It was spam. I too had received one mails saying I was shortlisted for some online lotto. And there were only 9 other people so I had a 1 in 10 chance of winning it. To qualify for the draw I had to send them my bank details. Well, I understood the scam, and closed the window instantly.

Thank you for reminding us that this phishing scam still exists within our midst. This one however doesn't come that often nowadays. These days, the scams I keep receiving almost daily are those relating to an inheritance to be collected, or a lottery I have won even though I have not purchased any ticket. Frankly, I am quite tired of these, and they certainly don't alarm me anymore when I see them in my inbox. Someone should compile an encyclopaedia of all these scams, describing everything there is to know about them. It will be such a good resource for all PC users.

We shouldn't take it so seriously, just delete it right after you see the subject ( be cautious, coz money doesn't come that easy). Such e-mail is nothing more then just a perfect spam. But still I wonder how it passed trough yahoo's spam filter and went right to your inbox.

I've gotten that same email several times and I actually wrote to yahoo. They told me this was a scam. It is crazy what people do to scam others out of money!

i receive that kind of mail too and i just ignore it. if i won why are they asking me for a payment first to get that money. instead they are the one needing our money and if we will pay them it's just like they are winning and we are the one giving them the prize...lol
it's clearly scam!
