Do you call your mother mom, mama, mother, mommy or something else? I called her mother; mama was my grandmother on my mother's side. A lot of you are in other countries from me so plaese translate as best you can expecially if it is something that may not be recognizeable to this English speaking American.

Interesting that you would start this discussion today. I was thinking earlier that my brothers and I call my father "Dad" but my sister still calls him "Daddy." Looks like we were on the same wavelength. :-) Now in answer to your question, I call my mother, Mom. When I was younger I called her "Mama", then "Ma" then now "Mom." I wonder why that is? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Thanks for answering. It is interesting that you changed it. I always called her mother and still refer to her with that name long after she is gone.

Well I'm from another country and I guess I've usually called her "mother", I think that's the best translate.

As an adult I call her Mom but as a child it was either mom or mommy. My grandmother when she was alive was always - grandma.

Mummy. If she can't hear me, I'll call her name, "Meng, Meng, Meng.." over and over again until she responds. In the worst situation, it's a simply "Oi!"
