How many of you have a son or daughter that is compared to you and do they mind it or hate it? My oldest son has sort of modled him self after me, we look a lot a like actually, but his younger borther is named after me and people constantly say things like Stephen jr, are you going to follow in the footsteps of your dad? It drives him crazy, if I only knew ahead of time I would have given my oldest my name and the younger a differnt name but it is too late for that now.

he has to live with the fact that people will see him as a little version of you, it sounds hard but it is a fact as you mentioned. He will figure out what to do with his life later on...

I know that my son idolises me,he tells everyone that I am his greatest hero.I am sad that he also wants so badly to look exactly like me which is virtually impossible as I am 6ft.6ins tall and my boy is only 5ft.6ins.in height.I once overheard him introducing himself to a stranger using my name.I am told that he does this more often than not. This is breaking my heart as it seems that I am giving my son a wrong impression of what kind of person I am.Oh and I forgot to mention that my boy is 23 years old and has a very low self esteem. He actually thinks that he is very short and does'nt have much capabilities.I love my boy and I want to help him very much.
