Do you use a makeup brush, a powder puff, or a makeup sponge to apply your face makeup? I have brushes with all of the makeup I have right now but I think that I prefer to use powder puffs to apply my face powder. I prefer a powder puff because i find that with the brush I am always getting light face powder stuck on my eyelashes. I think that all makeup should come with a selection of applicators so that you cna choose what works best for you. What type of applicators do you prefere and why?

Brushes tend to give the most even cover when it comes to loose or pressed powders. Sponges tend to leave blotchy patches. Fingers work the best with liquids. --beauty consultant--

I like the powder puffs that ususally come with pressed powder, I am not crazy about the brush that came with my loose powder, I find it too stiff.

Everyone has their personal preference of course. I just find that in the course of my work, these are the general rules of thumb. There are a tonne of different types of brushes out there, so if you ever find that your powder puffs arent doing the job as nicely as you might like it, try some different brands and sizes of brushes. Happy make-up-ing...LOL

I use a powder brush for applying my blush and a powder puff for applying the powder compact. I like it and Ive always applied it that way.

I use make-up brushes to apply all my make-up except for lipsticks or lipglosses. I have a whole collection of make-up brushes that I have collected over the years that I use to apply make-up. I never use sponges or powder-puffs for any eyeshadow or powders. However, I do use sponge wedges to apply my tinted moisturizer when I use that.

I usually use the sponge because it leaves my makeup looking more even and i can wash the sponge and reuse it. I've tried the powder puff, but doesn't like it because my make doesn't seem to last.

I use either a make up brush or a powder puff. and if it is liquid make up then I just use my fingers.

I use bare escentuals mostly and they are all powder form. Therefore I use makeup brushes on the powder, eye shadow and blush application. I am happy with this combination so far and I think it applies just the right amount of face, which makes things more natural *smiles*.

I use my fingers for liquid foundation. I use brushes for everything else. I don't wear powder because I have dry skin so I don't have a favorite way to apply that. I have some really great brushes which i feel are very important to make the cosmetics look natural and even. I think I may opt for a puff with powder if I used it but when I do use it, my face looks cakey so I stop at foundation and blush and use a good primer under everything to keep my makeup fresh for hours.

I usually use a sponge to apply my make up because it leaves my makeup more even and i can wash the sponge and re-use it. I've tried the brush before and my makeup seems to come off easier and it's not as even.
