Opposite Attracts?!?! (is it true?)

Who believes in here that opposite attracts? is it true that opposite really attract or it is just a scientific belief of other people. If you try to think, for instance a negative and a positive in a battery, then a girl and a boy. what else can you think of that justifies this belief that "opposite attracts". Can you give me more ideas about this topic. What do you think this really means?

I kind of do and I kind of don't. My ex used to love rap and he was a hardcore Catholic, by the end of our relationship we both loved rock music and we were both Agnostic. We didn't convert each other into anything, people change of the years.
