Are you fashion conscious?

A lady once said to me, "If its clean and fits, I'll wear it." Are you of that opinion or are you one who as soon as a new trend comes into vogue you're on the band wagon.
Me, I'm not into trends. In fact I still have clothes from the 80s and 90s that I still wear. And I am like that lady, if its clean and fits I'll wear it. But I'll add something else and if it doesn't make me look too fat. :-)
So what about you? Will you call the fashion police on me?

Hi there. I am definetly one who does not fit into that phrase of "If its clean and fits, I'll wear it" no way, I like to present myself in my own unique style, which I think is trendy lol... I dont settle for just fits and clean, my dress has to be what I look good in, not just anything off the back of my hand...

I believe that a person should be up to date with the fashions.
I don't believe people should wear what was in style 30 years ago.
Well, I wouldn't call the fashion police unless you wore something that is totally hideous on you. :)
Just because you are a senior doesnt mean you shouldn't try to look your best.
To each his own I guess.

I do follow trends occassionally, not all the time though. Sometimes I see some elements I love in the trend, then I would incorporate that into my exisiting wardrobe. But sometimes I don't see anything I love or would flatter me, then I would totally forget it.

I won't call the fashion police on you, as logn as you won't call the fashion police on me. :) I'm happy if my clothes is clean, fits, and matches--I don't like going out in non-matching clothing... though what I sleep in is another matter entirely.
My "style" is such a strange mish-mash of styles that I definitely don't appear to follow fashion. I just like to be comfortable and to stand out a little bit, but not too much. Following fashion really just makes you blend in with the crowd, when you think about it...

I'm like that too. I'm not very much of a fashion type, if its clean and comfortable, i'll wear anything. I just make sure that i'm not the odd one out, there should be atleast few people like me, then only wear. But i'm not a very up-to-date person in this respect, i.e style and fashion.

Thats the other requirement I forgot...comfort. I'm that way with shoes. You won't find me wearing spike heels. No sire! :-)
I know what you mean about making sure I'm not the odd one out, however sometimes I put colors together because...well thats all that was available at the time. LOL LOL LOL

I love trends and watch them carefully but don't just run out and buy everything that is trendy. My new love is skinny jeans. I always liked very skinny jeans from waist to bottom but then boot cuts and flares came along and skinnies were out. I am elated they are back in. LOVE EM.
I like the longer baby doll tops and some other things and always add at least a few new pieces (or more) to my wardrobe each season. I like trendy shoes too but don't go nuts with shoes I can't walk in anymore.
I am very casual though and will throw on a pair of every day jeans and a T shirt and not think twice too so I guess I am a little of both. I wear what I like and what flatters me.
