Days of a Month

I want to know the history of months and years. Why different months contains the different number of days? why every year contains 12 months? What is the importance of time?

Hi, Second, minute, hour, Day, Week, Month, and Year all are the units of time. We calculate time related with myself and other in the form of these units.
