Boy, I would certainly like to be Leona Helmsley's dog right now. The dog inherited $12 million when she died! I wonder how people who leave large sums of money to their animals can be certain that the animal will be well cared for? She practically ignored her grandchildren in her will-and great grandchildren. She did, however, leave her chauffer $100,000.00.

I was wondering the same thing too. I'm thinking that there was someone named in her trust to take care of the dog and quite possibly that person will be compensated for taking care of the dog. Who knows?
On the bright side its nice that her dog will be well taken care of.

I would say, very well taken care of, sopranosfan. That dog will be able to eat steak every day, LOL.

I think someone is appointed in the will to take care of the dog. I understand that she did this to spite her grandkids, which is all good and well even though I don't neccesarily agree with her tactics.
I think she should have at least done some good with the money and leave at least half to charity, if she didn't want her grandkids having it for whatever reason.

The Queen Of Mean..oh, what a b*tch that woman was...She was nasty to everyone and it amazes me though how much money she left for her dog...My question is,....who inherits that money should anything happen to the dog?? LOL Gee, wonder if the dog will have an accident, so the one who owns it will get the money

The only thing I have to say is this was a very bitter woman, and that was her way of telling someone that they should not have pissed her off!
The poor dog don't know what's going on anyway, all he know's is that his owner isn't there anymore. And now when the grandkids/greatgrandkids come over he'll get a swift kick in the a__ every time he gets to close to them.
Hummmm...thinking like Leona, maybe I'll leave my
ex-hubby a pile of dogs_it in a giftbag.
