HI!I give my daughter,shes 4 1/2 years old an allowance every friday.She can do what she wants with it.We started giving her pocket money(like 1-2.00)whenever she wanted a treat.Instead of me paying at the store for it,she can pay it herself from her little purse.It makes her feel independant doing this.When she pays she has a big smile on her face from reaching in her "purse"and paying .25cents for a candy.She understands to save $$ for something she would like another day and that "money doesnt grow on trees".:)
