These days we hear a lot of how god it is to exercise and how god it is for your health. However, it is something that take time. If you work a ful day, you are tired, you have to make dinner, dishes, kids homeworkhelp. This take a lot of time in the late afternoon.
I wonder, how do you have the time to exercise. What should you do for exercise?. I for certain have no time to go to gym, take a walk or go for swim. I love to swim and wish I had the time more than once a month.
I am thinking about to go to a group for watergym, it is free for the workers my towncommunity. Once a week they do meet and for one hour they gym in the water. I will do this. I have to make this a habit.

We can do some conventional form of exercise at home.
I have a hectic schedule, but I still manage myself to exercise. Usually, in the morning, around 5:00 a.m., I am already starting exercising through walking and jogging for how many kilometers.
Thirty to forty five minutes is already enough as long as you perspire a lot.
Have a nice day and God speed!

Just like you I am also a working women who has never ending office and house work, and that is way the meaning of exercise for me today means just one word and that is "walking".....On week days I go for about half an hour walking, but on weekends I go for long walks. After walking I really feel very active and light. So I think middle age people like me, who cannot do anything else should at least make a point to keep walking regularly.

Hello apsara60,
I do understand. I wish I could do more. But there are simply no time. The only exercise I get is when I work and take the bike to work, and home from work. IT take about 20 minutes there and 20 minitus home. But if, and when I do depends on the weather.

Well, depending on the weather, I do try to take the bike atleast three times a week. And my work are lot of going, running and not sitting much. But I would have time to spare for swimming that is so refreshing. However, I will try this in winter, since I can not bike then.

Well, I get a lot of response to this discussion I started. I do not have the time on a dayli bases to respond to al the responds I got. But It seems be the generally thing amoungs us that we do want to but the time seems not be enough. However some of us do planning, but it seems something always comes between. Is it lazy or is it becouse of other things..I do not know. That is our self confidens to decide. However I do for one thing in the evning do regret that I did not prior the exircis.
Have a nice day.

If you just wish you'll awlays be able to find time.Nobody sais you should do it after work.If you have to you'll get up earlier than usual to do some exercises. If you don't know which you can get a DVD with some to learn. I go to fitness almost every day during the summer holidays, but while I'm busy I make sure I visit the gym three times a week to keep in shape.

Hi there,
Well, I am not a person that can take such actions in the mornings. I am not awake untill a few hours after gone up from the bed. Unfortunately I am not a morning person. I just can not. I am more a night person, but since I have to work early in the mornings I have to come to bed early in the evning. It´s simple facts. Some people can not do things in the mornings and some people can not do in evning.
This is the main reason not get the time to do everything you want. Time goes to fast, not only clock hours, even days, weeks, years are going faster. I se this in my kids who are growing older to fast for me. But something you can not do anything about. You just follow the time as it goes.

Yes. But not really daily. I just exercise for a few minutes right after I get up my bed and start my day. It's a positive feeling for me to start my day with some sit-ups and jumping jacks. Not really to sweat myself out but just to make my body fit. Also, I do some physical activities / sports such as playing badminton and table tennis. :)

Hello Nardz 13.
I would not be able to work out, exercise in the mornings. It take me one hour to even be able to think, talk and wake the children. I need my mornings for coffee and some typing on my computer to even beginn the day. No, I want to do my exercise in the afternoon. However after a hole days work I am to tired for that too.

I think we all can find 30 minutes to workout. I am an at home exerciser (I don't have time for a gym) and, even when I am so busy I am going crazy, I squeeze in some exercise. I either do a dance or Tae Bo workout or I use a machine like a stepper and weights. I often do it while watching TV so I am relaxing and yet working my body.
If I have to, I will get up earlier to squeeze in that 30 minutes. And, of course, taking the stairs, parking far from the door, and walking any time you can is exercise too!

Hello wotfpatty
I know , people say you must have atleast 30 minutes to spare. I somedays work for 9 hours per day. That means you start at 7 and end at 16:30. I have to take the bus 06:30 to work and 17:10 home from work. As you can se, there are simply no time for me to exercise at a day like that. I go up in the morning but to exercise at that hour noway, I am not awake then, it take me about 1 hour or so to wake up. In the afternon I have to make dinner, eat the food, make the dishes, help my son with homework. About 8 in the evning, I am so tired that when I sit down for a moment I fal a sleep.
I am divorced singel mum. My son has ADHD, so as you see, I have no time for exercising. A day like this. And those days are many.

The most exercise I get in a day is chasing and running around after the children. It is the most easy way to get my exercise, I clean up after them bring them to clubs/school/etc. That way I stay busy because I don't have any spare time to go to a gym

Hello Mistissa,
I know about this. I have two, on girl and one boy. THe girl is now 20 and left home recently for her own recidens. However I do have the boy home and he is 16, but are a bit messy since he can trhoug the close where he stands. You could think they sould be better during the growing period, but there is no such things. It´s even worse since they do know not to do so. Some how they tender to get more lacy.
I work, part time, the rest of the time I have to spend doing houswork everyday it seems. So I do not have the time, or the strengh to exercise as I wish.

Adiction of food are hard for some of us. My problem are not eating properly. I have in the past not been eating breakfast. Wish by the way are the most importand meal of the day. So I eat more in the evnings. I started for a year ago with hospitals help an group terapi where we learn how to eat, what to eat, why to eat. Today I eat my breakfast, The only exercise I do is walk, bike. I have lost 12(swedeish kilos) in a year. And have long way left. But The secret are, eat every three hour, take a walk, take the bike one time per day....then it works. GYM are for people that are not heavy overweigh. It is for konditiontraing only in my oppinion.
Mabe your sister needs help. It is easyer in a group, rather doing it by your self.

I enjoy exercising. I always take some chance to take exercise. sometimes I'd rather walk than take the lift. When I stay at home, I prefer rope-skipping. I feel good after I jump for two hundred times.

I don't have more time for a gym but I don't miss to walk. I walk almost 30 minutes a day. It's the only exercise that will make my heart healthy aside from the love shared. lol.
I make it a habit to really walk. It has helped my this past days having loads of paper work to attend for about 12 hours a day.

Hi,
I had to go for my job at 9.00. So I get up at 5.00 am I do excercise most often. . Mostly I go for a jog in morining and have a bit of exercise and practice a bit of "Kalaripayattu" (a domestic martial art of Kerala in South India). This makes me feel freshness through out the day. I feel dull if I do not do exercise. Mostly I avoid exercise when I feel unhealthy and tried. I opt to take rest. After I make breakfast. Still after doing exercise I feel that freshness in myself. Also time managment of doing exercise is another part, hope it is better do when one feel healthy. Even a walk to office, or in home is time utilised and casual exercise is done.

Yeah. I have time for exercise. I have time because I need it. I am now diabetic but I am controlling my blood sugar. I need to go for exercise everyday from Monday to Friday. It feels good though. I have figured that exercising is the best way for you to love yourself. Getting sick is not easy. I am quite obese, but going to the gym helps me keep myself healthy. Plus, I gain more self confidence everyday because it is helping me to trim down.
Now after a few months. I have controlled my diabetes and could eat anything I want. But of course, I control (it's ok to eat everything but it's important not to overeat). Plus I regularly monitor my blood sugar.
=)
You could actually exercise anytime. By simply walking instead of riding the car or taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Doing sit-ups and running around the house. All you need to do is at least get yourself panting or your lungs expanding everyday for at least 30 minutes.
=)

I exercise every day; walking to and from the shops, going for walks after dinner even if I might be tired, I always feel refreshed after a nice, brisk walk around the block.
We also have a cross-trainer contraption in our house, and I use that when I feel like a small workout.
I think it's a great idea for you to attend the watergym, I hope you enjoy it =D
