In your home, who's the boss? The woman or the man, who gets the last say?

Neither one of us is the boss. My husband and I have equal say in all decisions and we make decisions together. If the issue is something he has more expertise in, such as car repairs, I will go with what he recommends but most things we figure out jointly.

My husband and I talk over any important decisions and make a plan or a decision together. Sometimes he does influence me, because I can be more nervous and cautious and he can be more relaxed and calm.
I have two children from my first marriage and they have realized that if they ask me and I am hesitant that it's a good idea to bring him into the discussion because he is more in favor of giving a little freedom to foster responsibility. However, when it comes to the kids, he allows me the final say. Sometimes we are in agreement, sometimes I go with my cautious side. But never does it lead to an argument or serious problems.
I think a marriage is a partnership and both parties have an equal share in it. For it to succeed, both parties need to have their say and their opinions weighed in on all important matters.
