I have been a big fan of Mel Gibson. I loved all his old movies, specially Lethal Weapon. Then I heard about his new movie. The Passion of Christ. I couldn´t watch this movie at all. I just can´t understand how someone who says is Christian can imagine such a movie. All that blood and hurting. Of course I know that Jesus went through all that but I really don´t get how seeing those scenes is good for Christians. It seams he only wanted to sell a movie. Then we learned that he offended a lot of people and he was driving drunk. What do you think?

Passion is actually considered an older movie now...I'm not a Christian by any means but I did watch it with my husband and one of my kids and on a fictional, entertainment level so to speak its a pretty good flick...and as for biz move for Gibson, it was probably the GREATEST business move he EVER made! he made a KILLING off that flick! As far as I know his NEWEST movie is Apocolypto which I watched a couple weeks ago with my kids....its not a bad movie either... do I think he's crazy? No I just think he's gotten a big hung up on himself like Tom Cruise has and i think they BOTH are shallow shady characters which is a shame really since I used to enjoy both of their works...

Mel Gibson is surely the same guy he has always been...just some drunkeness and media coverage changed things. I liked Mel Gibson, very entertaining.

I wouldn't think that he's gone mad or crazy just because of what we see in him right now, I see him now as a great director and a good visionary. All of the films he made and directed, like Braveheart and Passion of the Christ is the result of his interpretations from that said stories. As for the movie, Passion of the Christ. I always believe that it is based from what people on that particular time are make a living, he just proved that this thing can happen because people on that time are still not that civilized.

These days you can make a film with all the blood ans gore you want.I think it is good for Christians to remember the pain Jesus went through, but you don't have to show all the gory details.Did he go crazy? I don't think so.I think he thought that he was above the drink and driving laws.I am a Lethal Weapon fan. I am really not a Mel Gibson fan. I have seen him in a few films but I like Lethal Weapon the best.

no but maybe he has that bad attitude paired to his great ability to produce good movies. i mean i love the way he directed braveheart, patriot, apocalypto and the controversial passion of christ. we all know he exaggerated the blood spill in passion of christ just to stir our emotions especially when we celbrate it on good thoursday or good friday. his not crazy when he makes movie, but i think he acts as one everytime he gets drunk. remember the malibu issue.hehehe. it could also be the effect of egoistic attitude of him as he grows older.
