Does your anxiety seem to come in spurts?

For the last three days I keep having small anxiety attacks. Its all I can do to get it to go away though. I know its related to having a job interview and everything. But I"m so sick of it. I wish it would just go away. Even slow breathing isn't helping.

I get anxiety attacks too. I hate them. I can tell when Tey are coming on though, so that helps alittle.

Ugh! Anxiety attacks suck! I also get mine in spurts; I thoguht I was the only one. It is because of my anxiety that I don't have a job. I can't handle working. When I used to work, I'd have an all day anxiety attack with panic attacks thrown when I'd get dressed for work and driving to work. That was the WORST! Even now that I don't work, I still small/medium ones a few times a week. The only thing that really helps calm me is smoking. I would go get a precription for Xanax because I've found that it really helps me, but I can't because of some requirement for me to get into Nursing school.
Anyways, you probably already had your job interview. I hope it went well!

My anxiety has always come in spurts. Sometimes, whenever I'm facing a situation that I know will cause anxiety, my anxiety is rather high but that I know. However, sometimes my anxiety is rather unpredictable and will come whenever it wants too, sometimes for no reason whatsoever. It all depends really. I think you really have to work past it and find new ways to relax instead of relying on old stand bys that can stop working rather fast.

If your anxiety attacks have persisted for that long, you might want to consider seeing a doctor. I used to have severe anxiety attacks, they started out as small ones, then it got to the point where I would have to have someone accompany me to the store because I was afraid to even ask questions. I am now on Lexapro for my depression and anxiety and it has little side effects. I take it at night and it has worked wonders.
