I finaly got to read the seventh and last book in the Hrry Potter series. I read it about a month ago and I loved it.
I don't want to spoil it for the people that haven't read it yet, so I will just say that it was awesome and the ending was perfect!
Did you read it yet and what did you think?

I haven't read that book. But I have heard a lot about it and also saw some of the movie. I would like to spare some time to read the original book to know what is the differences between the books and movies.

The books are a lot more detailed and I think it would be good to read all the books to gain a better understanding of what is going on in the movies. After reading all the books and watching all the movies (except for the newest one), I already know that there will be some confusion, because they leave out too much in the movies.

I went to the bookstore at midnight when the book came out and read it in approximately 12 hours, including about 6 hours of sleep in the middle. I've just finished reading it for I think the 5th time. It was a great end to the series, which I have really enjoyed overall for the past 5 years. I have heard some comments about how the book drags, etc, but I actually like the pace because it gave good insight into exactly how Harry changes throughout. He is a much changed person by the end of it in my opinion. I loved it!

Hey! I just bought it a couple of days ago when I got back. I can't wait to get into it. I have heard that it's pretty good but a bit "darker" than the other books.
I have a some catching up to do on my reading and checking up on mylot friends over the next couple of weeks. See you around Mylot.

I am shocked and satisfied at the book's climax, because the ending wasn't predictable and nobody spoiled the ending like Book 6 :).

I've read the last volume immediately when it appeared and I loved it. I think it is the most mature of the whole series, and I agree that it's very different from the other six - it's not a book for children at all, not in the slightest, I'd say. What I liked best is how she solved the Snape-question. I liked Snape nearly from the beginning and was hoping against hope that he would turn out to be on the right side. I don't want to spoil, so I'll just say that the way Rowling solved the problem is extremely clever. I also liked the very last pages.
Still, I cried very much throughout the whole book. And I'm a bit sad now that the whole thing is over. A bit afraid, that there's never going to be any series I'll apreciate as much as Harry Potter, no frenzied waiting for the next volume of something to appear...

I enjoyed it, thought it was a great ending to a good series. Though their was parts that disappointed me, I can't really say which parts without spoiling it though. I must admit I'm sad that the series is over now. I've grown to like it quite a bit. I started out hatting Harry Potter, and ended up enjoying it immensley. Atleast it went out with a bang, but I honestly was'nt expecting anything less.

I read it right after it came out and loved it too. It was so sad and had me in tears in more spots than all the other books combined but it was excellent.
A lot of people were upset with the ending but, like you, it was ultimately what I wanted to happen.
They are going to have one heck of a time turning it into a movie though, beings it's so long. But it'll definitely be full of action and excitement.

yes, I read the book. It's a bit different from the previous 6 books I think. It's more dark. Harry and his friends didn't attend the school this year so there's no funny description of school lives. But anyway, it's a happy ending. I like it.
