For the Philippines, it was when the Mt. Everest Team reached the summit, with the first women (3) reaching it for the first time. It was a shining moment as it displayed the Filipino spirit's display of strength, discipline, endurance, teamwork--the team represented the entire Filipino people's finest, and most shining moment in every Filipino. The team taught us that we all have summits to climb and to reach it requires discipline, good planning, prayer, endurance, good judgment, etc. We are so proud when Leo Oracion, just a few steps from the summit, almost wavered, but clutching tight the Filipino flag, displayed extra ordinary spirit--he finally planted it firmly on top of Mount Everest...a first in Philippine history.
