Quite often , I feel that my prayers remain unanswered. Is it just a feeling confined to my person only or does my fellow Loters feel the same thing at times.? I carry the conviction that God helps not in a way that you desire the nature of it to be.Still I would lose patienece and begin to think that all my efforts at ardent prayers are just exercises in futility .

I think all prayers are answered, maybe not in the way we want. We pray for things and we receive what we need not what we want. There is a big difference and sometimes we pray for the wrong things. God has a way of making everything right you just need to be patient and he will answer.

As for righteous souls like us , I hope we would request God Almighty ..for the RIGHT thing only and nothing but the right .

I think that our prayers are always answered. But they are not always answered in the way that we want. God always hears our prayers. But if what we are asking for is not in His will, He will let us know one way or another. Please don't lose hope or faith in Him. He is always with you and watching out for you.

i think that our prayers are answered in some form of sign/s. sometimes it is right in front of our face and we tend to see past it, we do not recognize that this is the answer that we've been waiting for all along, although some of it i think are answered in due time or not at all. its frustrating but the important thing is we must have faith..;p

I think in his time and in his way they do get answered. May not be what we asked for exactly, but close. I also think those things we ask for that we really don't need, we won't get, but that is a blessing. You know?

I think prayers are always answered in some manner. But we become too buzy to see the answer when it comes or we expect something different and the answer we get is not the one we hoped for so we dismiss it. I thik the only way to pray is to be thankful for what we have now and that opens the door for things in the future. We always have the power to get things for ourselves as the universe (God) is always ready to give us what we truly want. That is to the degree we are thankful for what we already have.

Dear sukumar794, I used to read all your discussion with keen interest. You are man always trying to find out the truth of life. I can realise this because I always used to think the same manner as you are thinking. Most of the discussion when you post on philosphical line I used to feel we are in the same wave length. The Sun is coming with Balance Sheet of every human being everyday. One thing I am sure and it is my convinction and conclusion that in the past life you had done something good you can reap the benefits in this life otherwise you gain nothing. God who created us and programmed us in such a manner, sometime we even fail to recognize the right thing. At the particular moment we choose the wrong thing. I am writing this based on my real life experience. You continue to pray and God will help you in an appropriate time. I adopted many methods in my life to reach God and find out what is the meaning of life. At one time I lost all the love to the material world. To return to material world it was very hard to me. Now a day I do prayer only in the morning and evening for 5 minutes only.

yes bro every prayer will be answered and fullfill our needs buyt not directly from god , it will be indirectly.....
for example-
a begger needs money for food, and he will pray to god for money,
then some one will donate money or food inthe name of god......
and his prayer is answered by the god.but he didnot answeed directly,
EVERY PRAYER WILL BE ANSWERED BY GOD, BUT PRAYER SHOULD BE FROM HEART

Only God knows. There are prayers not answered because what we asked is not good for us, and God has a better plan for us. But if it is what God wants for you also though it maybe quite awhile He will definitely give it to you. Every thing depends on what the Lord wills and it's timing. We just have to trust God that He knows what is best for us.

For me, God answered our prayers in His own time. He knows when is the best time for us. He also knew when we really needs it. Maybe your prayers has been answered but it does not really look like the way you wanted it to be. But I believe that God answer our prayers because He knows it even before we ask for it. All you need to do is be patient and keep on praying. Dont ever lost hope nor your faith that all of your prayers will be answered.

Dear sukumar794,
First of all, dear friend, you must have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ Our Lord, because He loves you & desires to fellowship with you. Give your life to Him & then you can make your requests known to Him in prayer through His Son, Jesus, who is our "bridge to God". Then, when you pray, you must have faith that God cares & will answer your prayers according to His plan for your life. He cares! But make sure that it is not a revengeful, selfish, unholy prayer. Finally, be patient & thankful. The answer will soon come at the least expected time, but it will be delightful & wonderful! Example: My husband & I prayed to God for 5 years for a motorhome, because the cost of living in my state is too high! We were homeless! We tried roomming with other roommates, too. At times, we had to move because our landlord's plans changed. And so on. The Lord finally answered our prayers & blessed us with the motorhome this year. We went through alot of challenges, but never lost faith in God answering our prayer! Plus, we've come to know how faithful, powerful,& merciful Our Lord is! We can handle the blessing, where before, we would not have been able to do so! Hope this answer helps. Try this link: worldprayerteam.org. They are very helpful!

I truly believe that God always answers our prayer. Some prayers take years to be answered. Some time they are answered even before they are ask. Some earlier ask how to know if we are praying for the right thins. I believe that we need to ask god what should we pray for. I always I sometime pary God please do it my way but if you can't then please help me to accept it his way or according to his will.

Actually God is a supreme power.Pray is the way to reach it.
But god does not give you anything. Not happiness no sorrow. No success No failure. It is you to feel it.
You must have to do the efforts.
You pray because you trust the god and while praying you get lot much mind energy,to do more efforts.
You get success as per your desire.
If prayer's efforts and god's pray synchronise, he/she gets the answer

He said "Ask and ye shall recieve". Let it br known that there no unanswered prayers. All of our prayers, be it address to Jesus Christ, Allah or to any religious gods, all of our prayers are "being" answered. If you feel that it is not being answered it's because God is in the process of preparing us to recieve what you have asked! Example, if we ask to be rich but handling if we do not know how to handle the small amount that we have then how could He possibly provide you a large amount? So, He might first make you understand what responsiblity is all about by making you broke so you would wake up and learn to mange your money well.Another example is about relationship, we all want to have a wonderful partner but if we cannot manage to understand ourselves, how do you think we can deal with our partner? so, He would let us experience heartaches and learn how the "art of letting go".God is again, preparing us to recieve what we ask and nobody said it's going to be easy. God is also teaching us patience. God is teaching us to accept and understand simple living and not just survival.God id teaching us to feel good because feeling good makes things possible and most of all God is teaching us "TRUST".Once we have sincerely ask something, once is enough and let him work on it.don't be a nag by praying for it over and over, prayer is not about numbers, it's all about FAITH in him.Trusting the Lord that he is working on it by preparing you to recieve it.I hope most of would understand this, i hope all of you who doubts would be enlightened by this.May the force be with you all!

I used to pray a lot, and felt very discouraged because they didn't seem to get answered. and then one day I got 3 messages in a row, the first one was in the morning when I accidentally stepped on a tube of tooth paste and it all squirted out. I was really up set because all I could think was now what am I going to do with all this paste, and then It hit me, you only get what you need, any more and it is wasted, The second was in the afternoon when I was looking out the window and it was very cloudy and I heard an air plane, and thought, you do not have to see to know it is there. and the third was in the evening when I was going through how lousy my life was and I read " Some times no answer is the answer. . Since then I have tried to look at situations in a different light. and it has worked

I think all prayers were answered depending on the one whose praying and the sincerity of out heart. Yes our prayers may not be answered the way we asked them or we wanted them to be, but surely god has another plan in store for all of us. And we should not forget that in praying we will not only ask rather we should also do our share right, as the saying goes, do your best and god will do the rest..)

My mother used to tell me that God has four answers to prayer: Yes, no, wait and "Are you crazy?"
Seriously, though you are not the only one who feels this way. I often get quite frustrated because I have prayed for so many years about some things and nothing seems to change. I just read an article recently, however, that helped me. It appears that Mother Teresa felt she had no contact from God or answers to prayer for the last 50 years of her life! Yet, she contined to work and believe. That is not only a good example for me, but an inspiration. I just have to remember that God's ways are not my ways, and His time is not my time.
