Automatic Multiple Mouse Clicks

Hi, I am facing a problem, when I click a mouse once then instead of single click multiple clicks are performed, I think this problem is due to my motherboard, I have tried other mouses and also by changing from ps/2 to USB but every thing is the same, Now what I wanted to is that I develop a program that prevents multiple clicks, so how I do that? How can i stop clicks?
